An Igbo love song from my homeland
Mad props to you dude! You gat it going on!
Hillsong's How I Long
Cannot place my hands on it. Fills me with everything.
From nostalgia, to love, to longing.
The sweet melody of the guitar strings.
What a song! What melody!
If you are reading this, you might think, he's finally gone cuckoo.
Not yet, never will, just love this song. Listen and let me know what you think.
How I long - Hillsong
I feel Your love right through my heart
my spirit lifted by Yours
You are too great,
too great for words
so hear the song of my heart
How I long
Father
How I long for you
Freedom is where You place Your feet
light always shines through the dark
ever thought of You
for I am Yours
greatest of any rewards

Something on Collaborative Writing
I came across this site yesterday. I kind of like the idea behind it, apparently there are other similar sites such as this, but I have not found any so far. It is called StoryMash, and they claim it is the future of Collaborative Fiction, where one or more people come together to do some story writing. I found lots of interesting stuff in there, maybe you will too, if you come across this. Anyway, give it a try and let us know what you think about StoryMash. If you know of any more like this, please do share with us :)

filtered dreams sifted in baskets of thorns
memories of great days gone by, happier times
memories, dreams, the past, whatever it is
ah! dying embers of repressed youth, sun setting fast

running, running, running
from what i know and know not
over and over and over
round and round i go, in circles, dizzy, falling.
reach for the sky, reach for solidity
make me a drink, laced with ground seeds of the sensi
numb, cold, warm, tingly, evarything all at once
floating on beds of roses, wings of doves.
who is that i see? who is it coming at me with thorns and nails?
escape from reality but still within same
i see around me, i see, oh i see! clearly i say, clearly
tarnished, varnished, tied in tentherhooks in the outer limits
mamas and papas, give me what you have
no, scratch that, i don't want any of what you have
ill-gotten, from your wheeling and dealing
keep it, it is tainted with blood, pain and sorrow.
drifting, and drifting, lifted high above it all in this haze
brought upon by a desire to escape it all
yet escape is for the cowardly, so they say
getting ready, yet not wanting to, to come down to earth.
walk with me, run with me, see what i see
see the pain, feel it, red-hot, livid, live like electricity
shocked, brought down to earth with a mighty jolt
utopia gone, escape hatch closed....till the next time.

Honest Scrap Award
Many thanks to Rick for my very first blog award! Whooooooooooooooooo! Ah! Rick! You don't know what you have just unleashed - a greatly over-bloated ego in an individual who, thanks to this award, has started having delusions of grandeur! Oh! Well, the hell with it! I love it, I truly do, it just goes to show that all my hard-work has not been in vain. (LOL). So all day long, I have been bragging about this award to anybody who cared to listen to me, beating my chest and just about driving everyone crazy! Well, what else could I have done, I mean one of the requirements for receiving this award says you have to brag about it, and boy have I bragged today! I am the greatest blogger alive, etc, etc, etc!
Okay enough of the bragging!
To quote from Rick's “This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.” Once again, I thank you for thinking my blog's content is brilliant, I am truly honored.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTING THIS AWARD
“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”
So without much ado, here are 10 honest things about yours truly:
1. I am an extremely shy person
2. I do not smoke.
3. I love soccer.
4. For me Arsenal FC is the best there is, the best there will ever be!
5. I don't have a particular genre of music that I listen to. I enjoy any genre I come across.
6. I visit the Blessed Sacrament when I can physically, if not, then I visit online (http://savior.org/)
7. I like having the odd tipple now and then, socially and on my own.
8. I am addicted to comics! (Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Watchmen, anything at all!)
9. I love watching TV series (Smallville, Heroes, Mad Men, Fringe, etc, etc, etc)
10. I believe in equal rights and justice for all men! It does not matter who you are, the color of your skin or your religion, or whatever, we should all respect one another!
The following 7 bloggers deserve this award:
3. Laila
5. Sail:
7. Anne

Re: Searching for Rick's Daughter
Rick has been back to me to say that his daughter has been found!
In Rick's word's in a comment in my blog "She is found! Found! Several days ago, and she turned out better than I could have ever hoped.
She made the Dean's list 2 years in a row in college, graduated high school a year early, cheerleader in college, and just flat out BEAUTIFUL. That's my daughter! I found out her adopted last name from a court record and then started looking on facebook. That's where I found her. Thank You for the help!!"
Great news indeed, Rick! Have a happy reunion with your daughter!

Broken
Broken

you don't understand just what it means
to be in this enforced state of lethargy
with your long necks and big, fat stomachs
filled with the fat of the land.
broken yet un-bowed, never will
spirit-filled, waxing stronger each and everyday
hoping and praying for the hero
there are none, for heroes are simply zeroes.
stiff-necked fools, imbeciles, wasters
talk about there being no jobs, no food to eat
forty million and more unemployed in a single entity
comical yet i cannot laugh, weakened enough as it is.
look around you, can you see, can you understand this?
these times are horrible, yet for these people it has always been like this
hardship, turmoil, oppression, dejection
up in your pedestal you cannot see this.
forty million and more thoughts growing against you each and everyday
not wishing you well, who would?
arch-destroyer, arch-fiend, sinister joker caught up in the play
the macabre all you have ever known, legs raised, cackling with joy at my pain.
